SO......yeah

Doctor Mal has been shelved for now. Sorry gang; the idea needs to mature a little bit, and I need to focus on something that I have a little more experience in. Animation!

Don't worry however, I will still do DM, just when will be a matter of time (hurr hurr).

Updatings - March 7th, 2012

Hey all!

So I finally have filming done, but due to my camcorder's strange and retarded habit of making me import footage, THEN burn it onto a DVD-R, THEN rip the footage off the DVD-R, THEN convert it into a compatible file type, (WHEEZE) I'm a little slow on editing. I'm not going to give myself a timeline, but I'm at least at the stage where editing can start...

...provided the burning, ripping and converting process ends by tonight.

Eh well, such is the life of a noob reviewer.

Filming and Updates - March 4th, 2012

hey gang, guess this is just a small post to say I've begun filming of episode 1. I had to do a complete re-write and push the storyline idea I had back at least a season or two, just so I can get a few reviews under my belt.

I will say that the camera's microphone is actually a lot better than expected, so a boom mike isn't going to be necessary. I love it when easier setups are not only possible, but available :D

I have also decided to stick with one single intro for the first season versus make a whole bunch of custom ones; I haven't the skills to do that amount of advanced animation.

So yeah, updated you can all be :O

Update on Footage

hey all, just posting a small blurb to let everyone know how things are going.

First off, I managed to get a brand new camera, a true camcorder versus my digital camera. Also should have a good mike quality so a boom mike may not be required. HURRAY :D

Secondly, I'm going to try out a Let's Play and see if I can either tie it into my "storyline" of my Doctor Who reviews, or make it its own thing...whichever works. I'll post the first video on Blip when it's done.

Finally, I'm hoping to get the first few scenes of the introduction video for Doctor Mal recorded. Fingers crossed guys :O

LOGOS. WE GOT LOGOS.

SO, Photoshop has been good to me :3. But yes, as you can see below, I have the first 4 logos made for my upcoming Doctor Who review series. Still need to download Adobe Premiere and play around with that to make the custom intro sequences for each episode for each respective season and doctor.

What will be the premise behind my Doctor Who series? When will be online? hang tight folks; I'm still making essential props and getting everything together. I'm taking my time lol

FIRST POST OMFG

As you can obviously tell, this is the first post of GryphonTV's associated blog.

What is an associated blog? Think of it like a behind the scenes extra on a DVD that's free...and cheap at the same time.

Look, the point is, the numerous posts following this one will give a general idea of what goes on behind the lens of my life; updates on things, FAQs, contests, and of course, videos.

That being said, I should provide a few notes about the show(s) I plan to release. First off, these episodes/videos will NOT - and I repeat NOT - have a release schedule. I'm not trying to be rude by saying this, but unlike some critics online who produce content at a feverish pace, I have not got the amount of free time needed (having a job, and courses and whatnot). This being said, I will not be lazy, but I cannot guarantee a weekly release schedule. The content will come when it comes.

That's what she said.

Secondly, I'm new to this. Feel free to give CONSTRUCTIVE criticism for the videos in the comments sections. I am always trying to improve, and it always helps when you get a harmless kick in the pants telling you that you did shit wrong.

Finally, I'm doing this for fun. I didn't come into this expecting a profit, (although this would be nice I admit lol). So if the videos don't seem 100% professional versus other things you've seen, congratulations, you are now able to tell the difference between a noob and a pro in film making. Have a cookie :3.

Well, that about wraps up my introductory blog post. Should hopefully have something video-related up very soon....course this depends if I'll get the time very soon.

Cheers folks :D
